Information for Parents:

If you or your child is new to Pokemon Organized Play, here are some things you should know:

How does this tournament work?

In this event, players will play the deck they bring to the event.  Decks must use only cards from the Modified format.  This means cards from the following sets:

Cards from older sets can not be used, unless they have been reprinted in a newer set.  For more information, please read the Modified Format document on the Pokemon Organized Play website.

All decks must be 60 cards.  All games will be played for 6 prizes.  Players may not change their deck during the tournament.

A Decklist must be filled out prior to the event.  We will have blank decklists on site, or you may download one here.

The tournament is played using Swiss format, which means that players are paired against opponents with the same win/loss record in their age group, if possible.  All players play in every round.  The number of rounds depends on attendance, but usually these events are 4 or 5 rounds long.  Each round is 30 minutes long.  At the end of the Swiss rounds, the winners are determined by record.  Ties are broken using Opponents Winning Percentage.

This event starts at 12:00pm.  The event will end by roughly 6:00pm.

POP IDs

Everyone playing in the event must have a Pokemon Organized Play (POP) ID number.  If you have played in the Pokemon TCG League or in previous tournaments, you already have a POP ID.  If not, we will assign one to you at the event.  Please bring your POP ID card or at least the number if you have one.
